The Courage, Perseverance, and Resilience Workshop (CPRW) is an initiative presented through the Kevin Richardson Foundation. Richardson created this interactive workshop to personally educate students about their civil rights and to present practical tools to help them navigate society.  The workshops are a powerful step toward empowering young people, especially when civil rights and social justice face mounting challenges.

Richardson, who is a member of the Exonerated Central Park Five, has a deeply personal connection to the theme. Through his workshop, he is helping the next generation prepare for the social and structural challenges they may face. His initiative can help to foster critical thinking about systemic issues like racial inequality and the importance of building emotional and mental strength to overcome adversity.

Richardson launched the CPRWorkshop at his alma mater, Bronx Prep High School (BPH). "The need to educate youth on these issues is more urgent than ever," states Richardson.  The CPRWorkshop is timely, offering a space for youth and young adults to learn, reflect, and react in the face of increasing challenges such as over-policing, mass incarceration, and the shrinking of hard-earned civil rights. By bringing awareness to the implications of rising incarceration rates, increasing police presence in communities of color, and the ongoing fight for racial equity. Bronx Prep High School's Principal, Cassius Gil, believes that "Richardson’s workshop can inspire young people to understand race issues in real-time and take action in their own lives and communities".

Richardson’s workshop is a beacon of hope, showing that even after experiencing profound injustice, individuals can rise up and help others navigate similar struggles with courage and resilience. His efforts underscore the importance of investing in youth education, leadership, and empowerment to safeguard future progress toward equity and justice.
