In partnership, Syracuse University named a scholarship in his name via the “Our Time Has Come” - Kevin Richardson Scholarship Fund. Kevin turned his life experiences into a platform for advocacy.

In 2021, Kevin was presented with an Honorary Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts (VPA) from Syracuse University, becoming the first ever in the school's 150 years to be honored in this way.
